End-to-End Marketing Management
Imperial Cartons
Imperial Cartons is a family-owned Melbourne manufacturer with more than thirty years in corrugated cardboard, and if it's corrugated cardboard, they make it, whether that's one custom carton or ten thousand.
They came to us in 2024 on the recommendation of another client. What started as a consultation and a marketing strategy led to a refreshed brand and a new website, and from there we took on their marketing as a whole.

Where we came in
Starting With a Consultation
When we first met Ash, he already had someone running his ads and had tried a few other approaches that hadn't delivered, so he was fairly cautious about giving it another go. Instead of putting a proposal in front of him, we sat down for a consultation, and it became clear pretty quickly that the ads weren't really the problem, because the brand and website they were sending people to needed work first. That's why the marketing strategy we wrote dealt with those two things before anything else.
First
The brand
Imperial Cartons had more than thirty years of manufacturing behind it, but its branding hadn't kept pace with the business. We refreshed the wordmark, submark and colour palette to bring them up to a more modern standard, which gave everything we built afterwards a consistent base to work from.

Then
The website
Their previous website was built on a template and written mostly for search engines, with page after page targeting phrases like "storage boxes Melbourne" and "moving boxes Melbourne". We rebuilt it from the ground up and wrote it for the people actually buying cartons, built around the same thing Ash tells customers when they ring him: if it's corrugated cardboard, Imperial makes it, and no job is too small.
Before our work together
The website before our work together.
After
The website we built.
And then
The Ongoing Marketing
Once the brand and website were in place, we took on Imperial's ongoing marketing. That covers their ads across Google and LinkedIn, social media across Meta and LinkedIn, email marketing and automations, copywriting, video editing and graphic design, all handled by one team working to the same strategy. The work also includes visualisations of the printed cartons Imperial makes for its customers, and one of those customers, Sonora Foods, became our client after Imperial introduced us.
“I have been working with Escher Group for nearly 2 years. I have been impressed with the level of professionalism, creativity and guidance they provide for our marketing and advertising efforts. We have seen significant success in our business since using Escher Group and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone serious about improving their position in the market.”
What It Returns
Measured on New Customers
Imperial Cartons keeps track of the revenue its marketing brings in. When you measure that against everything they spend with us, including both the retainer and the ad budget, revenue from new customers has averaged three to four times that spend each month. That figure only counts new customers, so it doesn't include any of the repeat orders that come from them afterwards.
What we did
The scope.
Our work started with a consultation and a marketing strategy, moved through the brand refresh and the website, and has grown into looking after Imperial's marketing as a whole. Having one team across all of it means the ads, the website and the brand are all carrying the same message.
